LINCOLN COMMUNITY CENTER Opening Fall 2026
EXCITING NEWS — Come and look! It’s taking shape. March 4, 2026
The exterior walls are going up! Progress will be very visible. Look for wall framing this week, and continuing for several weeks as we move closer to making the building weathertight.
Construction crews are also beginning ground thawing to support the remainder of the underground utilities work, helping set the stage for continued progress on multiple fronts as winter conditions begin to ease.
Looking ahead, the team is preparing to resume underground plumbing, starting in the future kitchen area and continue that work across the site. With warmer temperatures ahead, under slab electrical work is also planned to resume in the coming weeks.
The focus remains on keeping progress moving both vertically and below the slab so multiple workstreams can advance in parallel. Fingers crossed for no more snow!
The photo shows the LCC site looking north from the Hartwell Building, with foundation walls and steel framing. The near part of the building is the future home of LEAP, and its classrooms. More updates at Town Meeting on March 28, 2026
